Stone fruits are rich in vitamins A, C & E and are a great source of dietary fibre and potassium.
Supply of summer stone fruits is based on a staggered flow of different varieties, each lasting only a week or two. This means there is a fresh, new variety available each week during the season.
Stone fruits include peaches, nectarines, plums and apricots.
The skin and flesh of Packham Pears are bright yellow with some fine russet, sometimes bumpy. white, melting flesh. Packham Pears a very juicy.
Harvesting for Packham Pears begin in late February to March, after which the fruit can then be stored in cool rooms for between 7-9 months. Australian grown Packham Pears are available from April to November.
Australian Navel Oranges are available through out the Australian winter period (June - October). Navels are the most popular of all orange varieties and are sweet and juicy, in rich colour, seedless and easy to peel.
Available from November to February, during the Australian summer months. Valencias are sweet and are ideal for juicing. We mainly source our Orange varieties from the Riverina.
A number of varieties of of Mandarins are available from April to October. The main export varieties include Fremont, Sunburst and Honey Murcotts. Mandarins are sourced from Southern Queensland and the Riverina.
Cherries are loved for their delicious flavour and ruby red colour and can be enjoyed in many ways every day.
The Australian Cherry season is extremely short compared to other types of produce, spanning for typically around 100 days. This is spread out amongst the three major regions which we source Cherries;
